Daily Prayers for April 3

O Lord, let my soul rise up to meet you

as the day rises to meet the sun.

Glory to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit,

as it was in the beginning, is now, and will be forever. Amen.

Come, let us sing to the Lord : let us shout for joy to the Rock of our salvation.

Song “O Mary, Don’t You Weep”

The Lord is my strength and my song : you have become my salvation.

Psalm 16:5 9

O Lord, you are my portion and my cup : it is you who uphold my lot.

My boundaries enclose a pleasant land : indeed, I have a goodly heritage.

I will bless the Lord who gives me counsel : my heart teaches me, night after night.

I have set the Lord always before me : because he is at my right hand I shall not fall.

My heart, therefore, is glad, and my spirit rejoices : my body also shall rest in hope.

The Lord is my strength and my song : you have become my salvation.

Exodus 15:1 – 21 1 John 2:12 – 17

The Lord is my strength and my song : you have become my salvation.

A reading from Paul’s letter to the Colossians: “The Son is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation. For in him all things were created: things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities; all things have been created through him and for him. He is before all things, and in him all things hold together. And he is the head of the body, the church; he is the beginning and the firstborn from among the dead, so that in everything he might have the supremacy. For God was pleased to have all his fullness dwell in him, and through him to reconcile to himself all things, whether things on earth or things in heaven, by making peace through his blood, shed on the cross.”

Prayers for Others

Our Father

We thank you, Lord -Jesus, that you have risen from the dead and won victory over the powers to save us from our sin. We praise you for our salvation, and ask for grace to praise you with our whole lives. Amen.

May the peace of the Lord Christ go with you : wherever he may send you;

may he guide you through the wilderness : protect you through the storm;

may he bring you home rejoicing : at the wonders he has shown you;

may he bring you home rejoicing : once again into our doors.
