Daily Prayers for June 23

O Lord, let my soul rise up to meet you

as the day rises to meet the sun.

Glory to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit,

as it was in the beginning, is now, and will be forever. Amen.

Come, let us sing to the Lord : let us shout for joy to the Rock of our salvation.

Glory to God in the highest : and on the earth, peace.

Hallelujah! Happy are they who fear the Lord : and have great delight in his commandments!

Their descendants will be mighty in the land : the generation of the upright will be blessed.

Wealth and riches will be in their house : and their righteous-ness will last for ever.

They have given freely to the poor : and their righteous-ness stands fast for ever; they will hold up their head with honor.

Our Father

Lord, you spoke all things into being and call us each to speak your truth in our corner of the world. Save us from ourselves and grant us holy confidence to speak aloud as we have been spoken to. Amen.

May the peace of the Lord Christ go with you : wherever he may send you;

may he guide you through the wilderness : protect you through the storm;

may he bring you home rejoicing : at the wonders he has shown you;

may he bring you home rejoicing : once again into our doors.
