Magnificat, Mary’s Song (Luke 1:46-55)
My soul glorifies the Lord, *
My spirit rejoices in God my Savior.
The Lord looks on me a lowly servant; henceforth all ages will call me blessed.
The Almighty works marvels for me. Holy is God’s name!
God’s mercy is from age to age, on those who are faithful.
God puts forth an arm in strength and scatters the proud-hearted.
Casts the mighty from their thrones and raises the lowly.
God fills the hungry with good things, sends the rich away empty.
Protecting Israel, God’s servant, remembering mercy,
the mercy promised to our ancestors,
to Abraham, Sarah and their children for ever.
Lord God, whose Son our Savior Jesus Christ triumphed over the powers of death and prepared for us our place in the new Jerusalem: Grant that we, who have this day given thanks for his resurrection, may praise thee in that City of which he is the light; and where he liveth and reigneth for ever and ever. Amen.
May the Lord bless us and keep us from all harm; and may God lead us to eternal life. Amen.

Az Yashir Moshe, Song of the Sea (Exodus 15)
I will sing to the Lord,
For he has triumphed gloriously!
The horse and its rider he has thrown into the sea!
The Lord is my strength and song,
God has become my salvation;
Pharaoh’s chariots and his army God cast into the sea;
The depths have covered them;
They sank to the bottom like a stone.
In the greatness of Your majesty
You have overthrown those who rose against you.
You sent forth your wrath;
It consumed them like stubble.
And with the blast of Your nostrils
The waters were piled up
The surging waters stood firm like a wall;
The deep waters congealed in the heart of the sea.
The enemy boasted but you blew your breath,
And the sea covered them.
They sank like lead in the mighty waters.
Who among the gods is like you O Lord?
Who is like you, majestic in holiness,
Awesome in glory, working wonders.
You stretched out Your right hand;
The earth swallowed them.
In your unfailing love
You will lead the people you have redeemed.
In your strength you will guide them
To your holy dwelling.
Lighten our darkness, we beseech thee, O Lord; and by thy great mercy defend us from all perils and dangers of this night; for the love of thy only Son, our Savior, Jesus Christ.
May the Lord bless us and keep us from all harm; and may God lead us to eternal life. Amen.

Benedictus, Zechariah’s Song (Luke 1:68-79)
Praise the Lord, the God of Israel,
who shepherds the people and sets them free.
God raises from David’s house
A child with power to save.
Through the holy prophets
God promised in ages past
To save us from enemy hands,
From the grip of all who hate us.
The Lord favored our ancestors
Recalling the sacred covenant,
The pledge to our ancestor Abraham,
To free us from our enemies,
So we might worship without fear
And be holy and just all our days.
And you, child, will be called
prophet of the Most High,
For you will come to prepare
A pathway for the Lord
By teaching the people salvation
Through forgiveness of their sin.
Out of God’s deepest mercy
A dawn will come from on high,
Light for those shadowed by death,
A guide for our feet on the way to peace.
O Lord, God Almighty, as you have taught us to call the evening, the morning, and the noonday one day; and have made the sun to know its going down: Dispel the darkness of our hearts, that by your brightness we may know you to be the true God and eternal light, living and reigning for ever and ever.
May the Lord bless us and keep us from all harm; and may God lead us to eternal life. Amen.

Christ Song (Philippians 2)
May our minds be like that of Christ Jesus,
Who, though he was in the form of God,
Did not regard equality with God
As something to be exploited,
But emptied himself,
Taking the form of a slave,
Being born in human likeness.
And being found in human form,
He humbled himself
and became obedient to the point of death,
Even death on a cross.
Therefore, God also highly exalted him
And gave him the name that is above every name,
So that at the name of Jesus every knee should bend,
In heaven and on earth and under the earth,
And every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord,
To the glory of God the Father. Amen.
Grant us Lord, the lamp of charity which never fails, that it may burn in us and shed its light on those around us, and that by its brightness we may have a vision of that holy City, where dwells the true and never-failing Light, Jesus Christ.
May the Lord bless us and keep us from all harm; and may God lead us to eternal life. Amen.

A light of revelation for the Gentiles
And glory to your people Israel.
